What is Public Access?

"Public Access" for planning is an on-line Internet service that allows you to view details, including associated plans and documents, of planning applications being considered by the Council. You can monitor the progress of an application, submit comments (electronically) about an application, search a constantly updated list of applications received and decided each week, view details of many historic applications and view property details by reference to a map.

Limitations

The online planning history contained within the data is at present incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal 'Land Charge Search'. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from 'Public Access'. Similarly the information contained within the Public Access module does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Please note that not all planning constraints relating to properties are indicated. In particular, Flood Zones, Listed Buildings and Tree Preservations Orders are not shown in their entirety. Users are advised to contact the Planning Department with respect to these matters.

Under normal circumstances the plans and documents associated with new planning applications will be able to be viewed within 5 working days of receipt of the application. If no images are displayed at the time, you may wish to try a few days later or alternatively you may be able to view the application and associated documents, during normal working hours, at the Council's Offices at Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, your local library or Parish Council offices.

Note:-

Plans and documents, with respect to impending determinations, are available for public inspection at various locations within the district.

You can view forthcoming and previous agenda, reports and minutes on the Development Control Committee page.

Public Access is available on-line between 4am and 11.30pm each day.
