The Business of Being Born - a documentary film produced by Ricky Lake.

Birth USA style is a shocking reminder of what might happen in the UK without the work of midwives and charities such as the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).  In America though there is the first dawning of realisation of the importance of midwifery and the need to make birth a positive experience for the new parents.

Here in the UK our midwives and particularly our independent midwives are at the forefront of supporting women to give birth in the way that works for them yet they are under threat.
