'Supernanny' to the rescue

Parenting can sometimes be tough, but there is help available.

Now in its eighth year, Parents Week 2007 will run from 15-22 October.

This year's Week aims to strengthen families by offering practical advice to parents who need help to manage their children's behaviour.

So what's happening in Three Rivers?

Father and child.Strengthening families, strengthening communities, a free parenting programme run by Herts County Council, is available to parents of 8-13 year olds, who are concerned about anti-social behaviour.

The 13-week course will be on offer at various venues across Three Rivers and the surrounding area, with courses planned to take place in South Oxhey, Kings Langley and Watford during the autumn.

For more information and to book, please call Julie Alexander at Herts County Council, on 01992 556 991 or email Julie.Alexander@hertscc.gov.uk.
