Supplementary Planning Documents

The Council will produce additional guidance in the form of Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD). These will cover the themes of:

• Sustainable Communities
• Open Space, Amenity and Children's Play Space
• Affordable Housing
• Design
• Trees and New Development
• Cycling
• Landscape Character

The schedule for production of these documents is available in the      Local Development Scheme, and further details will be available on the Local Development Framework Public Access page during consultation periods.

The Council has consulted on the Sustainable Communities SPD and the Open Space, Amenity and Children's Playspace SPD.  The consultation closed on 31 August 2007.  The SPDs were adopted by the Council on 11 December 2007 and the documents are available to download below.
