Still time to apply for grant, says Youth Council

There is still time for local groups and charities to apply for a grant from Three Rivers Youth Council, the group said this week.

The Youth Council has an annual grant fund of £1,000 and this year it has chosen to award it to local groups or charities that provide services, facilities or support for young people.  The Youth Council would also be particularly interested to hear from local groups for young people with disabilities.

The deadline for grant applications has been extended to Tuesday 17 October.

Leader of Three Rivers District Council and Young Persons' Champion Ann Shaw says:

"There are so many groups and charities in Three Rivers that do such valuable work with our younger residents, and the Youth Council is keen to support them.  We would encourage many more groups to get in touch and apply for a grant."
