South Oxhey facilities to be updated
Date:
23 February 2011
Residents who live in South Oxhey, Carpenders Park and the surrounding area will shortly be asked to say how they think the area might best be updated.
Built 60 years ago, the South Oxhey estate is due for its facilities to be brought up to date.
Residents will receive a consultation through their doors in their Council magazine, Three Rivers Times, in mid-March with an invitation to a special Open Day at Watford Rural Parish Council on 7 April (10am - 8pm) which will give them a chance to have more of a say on what they think are the most important issues and how best the area's character and community can be sustained in the future.
The local authority has made a commitment to taking a long term view of the local environment and to work directly with residents to plan for the future needs of all ages including children and young people. The initiative is being supported by all the main political parties on the District Council.
The survey can also be filled in on this website from 10 March. Residents can keep in touch through their Ward Councillor, through the Council's Facebook page (search for South Oxhey at www.facebook.com) or they can check this website, see Three Rivers Times magazine or ring 01923 776611.
