Selling to the Council

Located in South West Hertfordshire, the district of Three Rivers consists of 82,000 people living and working in an area of 85 square miles.

The Council currently purchases around £20 million of goods, services and works projects each year. Approximately 60% of this budget is spent on supplies and services such as specialised consulting, telecommunications, office supplies, vehicle management, ICT staffing and recruitment. The other 40% of this budget is spent on works projects such as maintaining the Council's housing stock, grounds maintenance and leisure projects.

The Council has both a centralised and decentralised procurement structure.  The Corporate Procurement Manager is charged with taking a strategic approach to procurement, but the more specialised purchasing is devolved across the various Council departments.
