The Policy and Scrutiny Committee welcomes contributions from members of the public to its discussion on agenda items. 5.	WATFORD HOUSEHOLD WASTE RECYCLING CENTRE, WIGGENHALL ROAD

	To consider the proposal to close the Watford Household Waste Recycling Centre, Wiggenhall Road. The Assistant Director, Environment Management at Herts County Council will attend the meeting to answer questions.

	The Hertfordshire Household Waste Recycling Centre service report presented to the Herts County Council Environment Scrutiny Committee on 16 May 2008 is attached for Members of the Committee for their information. 6.	FINANCIAL POSITION STATEMENT & BUDGET MONITORING REPORT – FEBRUARY 2008 (MONTH 11)

	This report gives an update of the three-year medium-term financial plan and the position on the current year’s budget for the period ending on 24 February 2008 (circulated separately).

7.	UPDATE ON COMMUNITY TOILET SCHEME

	To provide Members with an update on the implementation of the Community Toilets Scheme. 8.	SERVICE PLAN 2007/10 MONITORING AND REPORTING FRAMEWORK

	The purpose of reporting the Service Plan to the Committee is to enable Members to monitor ongoing performance up to the year end against a range of issues and to question the Head of Service on these and other service related matters.

13.	EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

	“that under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act. It has been decided by the Council that in all the circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.”
