The Policy Panel welcomes contributions from members of the public to its discussion on agenda items. Contributions will be limited to one person speaking for and one against each item for not more than three minutes. Please note that, in the event of registering your interest to speak on an agenda item but not taking up that right because the item is deferred, you will automatically be given the right to speak on that item at the next meeting of the Policy Panel. Details of the procedure and the list for registering the wish to speak will be available for a short period before the meeting.

DEPOT SHARE

To receive a verbal update from officers about the proposed relocation of the Environmental Protection team from Batchworth depot.


12.

RECYCLING PILOT

This report recommends the cessation of a pilot scheme for weekly recycling.

ORGANIC WASTE RECYCLING

To recommend to Members that the number of brown bins for the collection of organic waste be limited to a maximum of two per household.

14.

TRANSFER OF CEMETERY RECORDS TO ARCHIVE

To receive a verbal update from the Environmental Protection Manager concerning storage of cemetery records


15.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH FEES AND CHARGES 2007/08

The Policy Panel is requested to agree the fees and charges set out in Appendices 1 and 2 for the identified Environmental Health activities and to request approval from Executive Committee.

16.

CONTRACT FOR PROGRAMMED STATUTORY FOOD AND HEALTH & SAFETY INSPECTIONS 2007/08

To request approval to extend the contract with the existing contractor for food and health & safety inspections in 2007/08.

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

If any confidential business is approved under Item 3, it will also be necessary to specify the class of exempt or confidential information in the additional item(s) and a resolution to be passed in the following terms:-

"that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involvethe likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under the respective paragraphs of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act."
