Printing Plans

If you are experiencing problems with printing plans onto A4 paper and getting the whole image onto that size of paper, this workaround has been identified:

  • First, save the image to your PC (one way to do this is to click the disk icon that appears on the image when you mouse over it);
  • Then open the file with either: "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint". You should right click the file and select 'open with' and then choose the appropriate program;
  • In "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" - you should be able to select print and follow the print wizard through (there should be no need to change any print/page setup preferences);
  • In "Paint" - Ensure that 'fit to one page by one page' is set under page setup and then select print;
  • If you want to print multiple items at a time then it is suggested that "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" is used as you can select all the files in a set place on your Hard Drive. To do this follow the advice above for a single image and then select multiple items in the 'picture selection box'.

Please note that this advice is given only on the basis that a plan is printed solely for consultation/comparison purposes and no further copies are made.
