Policy and Scrutiny Committees

There are four Policy and Scrutiny Committees that make recommendations to the Executive Committee and may also be consulted on forthcoming decisions and development of policy. They also monitor the decisions of the Executive Committee and can "call in" a decision which has been made but not yet implemented. This enables it to consider whether the decision is appropriate. It may recommend that the Executive Committee reconsider the decision.
