Referral Scheme
Support is provided to families on a low income through the Playscheme Referral Scheme. In order to be eligible for referral you need to be a resident in Three Rivers District and meet one of the following criteria:

  • Your child/ren are entitled to free school meals.
  • You receive benefits that support your family.
  • You have regular visits by a health visitor/social worker who can write a letter of referral

Applying to this project is very quick and simple and will enable families to access places on a variety of playschemes throughout the district. Places on all schemes involved in the project are available at a reduced cost of £1 per half day and £2 per full day.  Use the Referral Booking Form to apply or telephone Sue Topping on 01923 727151.

All of the playschemes are packed full of exciting fun and games where children can meet new friends, try new activities and explore challenges.

We encourage play as a medium for developing creativity and confidence. What children learn through play is of tremendous value for them in other areas of their life. Our playschemes allow children the chance to express themselves and build new friendships. Through the stimulus of play, there is scope for the child’s physical, social and intellectual skills to develop.
