Parks and Playing Fields

Three Rivers have excellent facilities for outdoor sports in all areas of the District including full size sports pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts and 5-a-side multi-sports areas. These are all available for public use and may be hired through the Leisure Department unless otherwise stated.


Croxley Green

  • Baldwins Lane:
    2 football pitches
    2 public tennis courts

    1 football pitch
    Multi-use games area with open access

Maple Cross

  • Denham Way:
    2 full size football pitches, 1 junior size football pitch
    1 cricket square
    2 public tennis courts

Mill End

  • King George V Playing Fields:
    2 football pitches.  A fully refurbished two-court multi-sports area with floodlights for 5-a-side football, netball, hockey and tennis will re-open shortly.  This facility must be booked through William Penn Leisure Centre on 01923 771050

Rickmansworth

  • Scotsbridge Playing Fields:
    2 football pitches
    1 hockey pitch
    1 cricket square
    3 public tennis courts
    New "street style" skate area
  • Aquadrome :

Chorleywood

  • Chorleywood House Grounds:
    3 public tennis courts

South Oxhey

  • Oxhey Playing Fields :
    6 adult football pitches, 1 junior size football pitch

    2 public tennis courts
    Outdoor basketball site
    Single multi-sports area with floodlights for 5-a-side football, netball, hockey and tennis

Abbots Langley

  • Leavesden Country Park:
    YMCA Woodlands (fitness gym and studio, childcare facilities)
    4 public tennis courts
    Childrens play area
    Youth shelter and basketball goal

     1 football pitch
       

Other Outdoor Facilities

In addition to these there are also Outdoor Basketball Sites at West Hyde Youth Centre, St Clement Danes School, Manor House Grounds, Bedmond Playing Fields and St Joan of Arc School.

Outdoor Bowling Greens are located at Basing Gardens, Rickmansworth, South Oxhey Playing Fields and King George V Playing Fields, Mill End.

Sports facilities in the Abbots Langley area are managed by Abbots Langley Parish Council.

There are football pitches at Bedmond , Langleybury, Leavesden, Manor House Grounds, Primrose Hill and Southway.

There are cricket squares at Bedmond, Langleybury and Manor House Grounds.

There is a two court multi-sports area (floodlit) for 5-a-side football, netball, hockey and tennis. Bookings for all of these facilities should be made by contacting the Parish Council on 01923 265139.
