In a recent survey conducted at the play area, which opened in February 2010, children and adults were asked for their thoughts and how often they visit compared to the old play area.
Visitation to the play area, more than once a week, has increased from 24% to 52% and 37% of children reported that they had made new friends as a result of the new play area.
When asked how they would describe the play area to their friends, children reported:
"Really fun" (63% of children made this comment)
"It's good to spend a whole day there"
"It's not like an ordinary play area, it's different"
When asked what they liked most about the play area, adults reported:
"It's very proactive for the kids and different to other parks in the area"
"The fact that there are many different areas to it; it helps the children's development in many different areas"
"The equipment is quite unusual and a bit different for the children, instead of the same old swings and slides"
The play area was officially opened to the public in February 2010 and has been a huge success with the local community. The play area has a variety of equipment, including a zip wire (the most popular apparatus with the children), pendulum basket swing, sand play area, tunnel and a multi climbing structure positioned on top of a mound.

Play area locations include Leavesden Country Park off College Road, Bedmond Playing Fields off Toms Lane, Manor House Grounds in Abbots Langley, Eastbury in Northwood and Ebury Play area in Rickmansworth.
There's also plenty of Playgrounds to chose from and parks and playing fields.
Three Rivers have excellent facilities for outdoor sports in all areas of the District including full size sports pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts and 5-a-side multi-sports areas. These are all available for public use and may be hired through the Grounds Maintenance team on 01923 727034.
