£10.50 per hour
Location – Play Ranger sites in the Three Rivers District, including Abbots Langley, Leavesden, Mill End, Maple Cross and South Oxhey

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has experience of working with children to join our Community Play Ranger team.
The project offers the chance for child focused individuals to recognise and promote the value of play in children’s lives. The post will provide applicants with the opportunity to develop community projects in parks and woodlands in key locations throughout the district.  The nature of this work is outreach and outdoors during both winter and summer months.
Candidates will have specific experience working with children/youth and community groups. They will be able to demonstrate knowledge about the importance of play. They will have initiative, the ability to manage their own workload and a sense of fun and enthusiasm.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a community focused project and to advance personal development and training.
The ability to travel around the district and work weekends is essential so the post holder is required to drive. A qualification in playwork is desirable.

Hours are part-time (between 12.5 and 15 hours per week – after school and weekends).
The post holder will be required to complete entry level and ongoing training which the Council will provide.
