Planning Appeals

The Planning Casework Service is developed and managed by the Planning Inspectorate - the government agency that the appeals process in England and Wales.

The Planning Casework Service currently covers the following types of appeals in England:

  • Access Restriction
  • Conservation Area Consent
  • Conservation Area Enforcement
  • Crown Land Enforcement
  • Enforcement
  • Lawful Development Certificate
  • Listed Building Consent
  • Listed Building Enforcement
  • Planning

The on-line service lets users:

  • Submit the above types of appeal (and supporting documentation)
  • Search for cases on the system
  • Submit comments or supporting/required documents

Details of all the above appeals that they receive, whether submitted on paper or on-line, will be published on the Planning Portal and will be accessible through the Search facility. These details include the name of the person or organisation making the appeal, what sort of appeal it is and how far through the appeals process the case has reached. They also publish a copy of the decision on the appeal in due course.

Evidence submitted in relation to individual appeals can be viewed at Three Rivers House or on the Planning Portal.  Three Rivers District Council will accept our copy of the appeal to the Planning Inspectorate by e-mail at trdc.appeals@threerivers.gov.uk
