The good news for householders is that our walk-in Duty Planner service for will remain free for them to use. 
We have introduced charges for other forms of pre-application planning advice for agents, property developers, consultants and others in order to recover our costs in providing the service.
The service for professionals is still excellent value - pre-application advice reduces the risk of permission being refused and having to pay to make a second, revised, application.
