Within Three Rivers there are large areas of public open space including parks, moors, commons, country parks, heathland and verges. Three Rivers is responsible for 16 woodland areas, covering 197 hectares.
There are six Local Nature Reserves which are owned and managed by Three Rivers District Council including the Aquadrome and Chorleywood House Estate
There are also excellent facilities for outdoor sports in all areas of the District including full size sports pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts and 5-a-side multi-sports areas.
Thinking of holding an event?
If you would like to organise an event in one of our parks or open spaces you must complete a booking form which you can download.
We can then advise you on availability, permissions, planning your event and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
If you are a personal trainer, fitness instructor or club (incl running and aerobic) and would like to use our parks or open spaces to hold your activity or classes then download our
policy and
weekly hire of grounds form. This will give you guidance on how to apply for use of our parks and open spaces.

The Council provide and maintain many playgrounds , playing fields and outdoor sporting facilities throughout the district.
