Parking and Driveways
If you do not have a properly constructed driveway or hardstanding and a dropped kerb crossover from the road, you are not permitted to park or store any vehicle within your boundary. If you wish to make arrangements to construct a driveway or hardstanding in your garden, you should contact theĀ Hertfordshire Highways who will provide you with information regarding applying for a dropped kerb crossover from the highway. You will be responsible for any costs involved in the construction of the crossover. Once a dropped kerb crossover has been agreed by the Hertfordshire Highways you should request written permission from the Council to construct a driveway or hardstanding.
Commercial vehicles, caravans and boats are not allowed to be parked in the front or rear garden of a property without written permission from your estate officer. Vehicles, caravans and boats must not be parked anywhere that can cause an obstruction to other road users.
