Jack and the Beanstalk

It’s too big to be behind you!

Jack and the BeanstalkPantomime 2010 is set to be a giant of a show when Jack and the Beanstalk will shoot on to the Watersmeet stage in true home grown splendour!

Producers Paul Holman Associates are already busy planting the first seeds of this spectacular show, sourcing a giant, seeking a golden hen and searching for a star!

Jack and the Beanstalk tells the tale of a hard-up family forced to sell the family cow. On the way to market, Jack swaps Daisy for a bag of beans. When he gets back home, his mum, Dame Trott, is not best pleased and in a fit of slapstick temper, throws the beans out the window.

That night, when all in pantoland are tucked up safely, the beans begin to grow. And grow. And grow.

With the arrival of morning, Jack wakes to the sight of the tallest, greenest, beanstalk reaching from his garden, up and beyond the clouds into a place which could only ever exist in fairy tales. And pantoland!

Much to the distress of Dame Trott and his brother Simple Simon, Jack climbs to the top of the beanstalk where something mean, moody and morose is waiting for him!

“Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the blood of an Englishman.
Be he ‘live or be he dead
I’ll grind his bones to make my bread.”

Well that’s what Giant Blunderbore thinks! With the help of Fairy Organic, Jack might just make it back down into the arms of his princess and maybe help out his poor old mum with some new found wealth. You’ll have to book to see!

Jack and the Beanstalk will be raising the roof from 7 to 31 December 2010
There's money off for children, senior citizens, groups and even £1 off adult tickets for the time being. Never mind green shoots of recovery in the economy...we're keeping our prices as cheep as we can!
