If you missed the Panto Party Launch in September when the cast came to Watersmeet to present a snapshot of the forthcoming production then you can see what you missed on You Tube!
| News Flash:Kelle Bryan and Widow Twankey will be switching on the Christmas lights in Rickmansworth High Street on Friday 28 November at 7:30pm. Rumour has it that Widow Twankey can't count so we need you to show up and shout out the countdown from 10, 9, 8... |
Do you know what your Christmas celebrations need this year?
A first class magical carpet ride from Watersmeet to pantoland with Aladdin at the controls, Widow Twankey serving up fun and frolics, a Blue Peter dare devil legend, and a super soulful singer from Eternal adding musical highlights.
Does a pantomime possibly need any more?
Oh yes it does! Stunning scenery, magical effects, thrilling choreography, beautiful costumes, a script full of slapstick, topical humour, a traditional storyline and plenty of audience participation gift wraps Aladdin into the must see pantomime of the season!
Peter Duncan, Blue Peter presenter, actor, writer, all round adventurer, traveller and self confessed “action addict” will be putting all his energy into his performance as the loveable Wishee Washee, Aladdin’s silly brother.
Kelle Bryan from the chart topping band Eternal will be joining Peter on stage as the beautiful PrincessJasmine, the girl who holds the key to Aladdin’s heart.
Eternal were Britain’s most successful R&B group of all time, selling over 9 million album sales, four world tours, 15 top 15 chart hits, several Brit Award nominations, MOBO’s, Smash Hits and Britannia Music Awards to name just a few. So we know when our Princess sings it will be more than Aladdin who’s smitten!
John Brenner stars as Widow Twankey and has an Olympic size wardrobe of
colourful, dazzling creations to wear and as for his hats, they wouldn’t be out of place at Ascot. Outrageous, amazing, amusing and frankly funny.
This Widow’s hats have to be seen to be believed!
The Citrus Brothers will be on stage as PC Ping and PC Pong and if their appearance at the Panto Party Launch early in September is anything to go by then its high energy non stop madness all the way from our comedy coppers!
Jonathan Eio has all the charm and charisma needed to play the title role of Aladdin. With his dashing looks and wonderful voice, Aladdin will be breaking a few hearts this Christmas time!
Maurice Thorogood will be providing all the evil, villainous qualities required for his role as Abanazar, Gareth Davies has just the right amount of pomp and circumstance befitting an Emperor and Louise Travis as the Genie of the Lamp is sure to illuminate the Watersmeet stage.
Keep up to date with any backstage gossip, hear what the director has to say and see what's going on behind the scenes in the build up to Aladdin. Visit our Notes from the Green Room blog.
