Ballot boxTo vote in the General and Local elections on 6 May you must be on the electoral register. To register, forms must be with us by Tuesday 20 April. This is the last day to apply to register to vote or to obtain a postal vote for both the General and Local elections. Failure to do so will mean you lose the chance to vote in the upcoming General and Local elections.

Residents not on the register WILL NOT be able to vote. To check that you are on the Register please contact us.

The General Election result is expected to be announced the morning of Friday 7 May.

The elections for Chorleywood Parish Council will be moved to Thursday 27 May.

If you have moved house during the year, you also need to complete the Voter Registration Form which can be downloaded here or you can contact us.

You can vote: Voting makes a difference

        - in person at a polling station
        - by post
        - by proxy (someone else votes at your polling station
          for you)
        - by postal proxy (your proxy votes by post)

The last day to register for those who want to vote by proxy is TUESDAY 27 APRIL.

Remember
…failure to submit the forms in time will mean YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE IN THE LOCAL AND GENERAL ELECTIONS and may make applying for credit in the future more difficult.

There are two versions of the Electoral Register:

The full
version which lists everyone who is entitled to vote is only available to certain people and organisations for specified purposes.

The edited
version is available to anyone who requests it to use for any purpose. You can choose whether or not you wish your name to appear on the edited Register.
