Local History and Heritage
Several historical people have lived or worked in the district, including William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania and the paper mill owner, John Dickinson.
Historical buildings in the district include Moor Park Mansion and Basing House, the home of the Three Rivers Museum.
There are a variety of small towns and villages located within the district, offering the choice between rural countryside and urban residential and business areas.
