Free gym and swim scheme
This summer young people living in Three Rivers can get fit and swim for FREE at local leisure venues. Three Rivers District Council is funding free swim and gym sessions every day (Monday-Friday) throughout the summer holidays for all its young residents. Find out all about our action packed summer holiday programme and how to entertain your children this summer.
Playschemes, art workshops, sport camps and a five day dance and drama extravaganza are just some of the activities on offer for 5 - 16 year olds.
Why not come along to Rickmansworth Toy Library's annual picnic on Wednesday 13 August for a whole morning of fun.
Herts Youth Games 2008
Young people from across Three Rivers took part in the annual Herts Youth Games event on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May. Teams competed in badminton, table tennis, netball, hockey, basketball, kwik cricket, athletics as well as winning medals in boccia and aquathlon. The Three Rivers young reporter for the day has written about the event and meeting Olympic athlete, Colin Jackson.

Our new Play Strategy is now completed after consulting with the children of Three Rivers and their families . The purpose of the strategy is to ensure that young people have a freedom of choice in play.

The following venues are owned and funded by Three Rivers District Council and are managed by Hertsmere Leisure The Centre , Sir James Altham Pool , Rickmansworth Golf Course and William Penn Leisure Centre .

A fun and friendly park, ideal for beginners, Croxley Green Skate Park offers Free skating and BMXing for young people aged 8+.

Parks and Open Spaces, including Play Areas
The Council provide and maintain many playgrounds , playing fields and outdoor sporting facilities throughout the district.
There is plenty of countryside in the district, including the Aquadrome in Rickmansworth and several woodlands , ideal for walking and cycling.
