The Policy Panel welcomes contributions from members of the public to its discussion on agenda items. Contributions will be limited to one person speaking for and one against each item for not more than three minutes. Please note that, in the event of registering your interest to speak on an agenda item but not taking up that right because the item is deferred, you will automatically be given the right to speak on that item at the next meeting of the Panel. Details of the procedure and the list for registering the wish to speak will be available for a short period before the meeting.

WILLIAM PENN LEISURE CENTRE REFURBISHMENT - MAIN CONTRACTOR PRESENTATION & PROGRESS REPORT

To note progress on the refurbishment of William Penn Leisure Centre, and to receive a presentation from the main contractor, Gee Construction Ltd.

To advise members on the termination dates for the 3 largest contracts managed within Environmental Protection and make recommendations with regard to their renewal.

UPDATE ON THE COMMUNITY SAFETY ACTION PLAN 2006/07 AND PROJECTS FUNDED BY THE SAFER STRONGER COMMUNITIES FUNDING (SSCF)

This report provides the Panel with a brief review of the Community Safety Action Plan for 2006/07 and the Stronger Safer Communities spend at the end of quarter 3. As requested this quarterly report has been shortened but a more detailed review is produced for the Community Safety Board and can be obtained from the Community Safety Co-ordinator.
