(Part-time 21 hours per week)
Salary: £23,019 to £27,074 p.a.
(inclusive of local weighting allowance) Pro Rata
Plus Essential Car User Allowance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our successful Leisure Development team at Three Rivers District Council in South West Hertfordshire. The teams’ work covers sports, arts, play development and recreational activities for older people, together with the delivery of a number of externally funded community projects.
As Leisure Projects Officer, over the next 12 – 18 months, you will be responsible for continuing the established work with children and adults with disabilities by engaging them in a variety of leisure activities. You will also be responsible for managing a variety of leisure projects ranging from training and education schemes, youth activity programmes and large scale community events.
You should have gained work experience in a sports, leisure or social care background, in particular from working with adults or children with disabilities. You should also have experience of working with young people and practical marketing skills. You must be an excellent communicator, be highly organised and be a good motivator with the ability to cope with a varied workload. Educated to degree level or equivalent is essential.
The Council offers 28 days’ annual leave (pro rata) (30 days to employees with five years continuous local government service, pension and life assurance schemes).
