Leisure Matters
Whatever tickles your fancy, you’ll find it here!
Inspiration, information and ideas...there’s a whole world of opportunities right here in Three Rivers so don’t wait for that moment when you’re wondering what you can do, where you can go or how to keep the children entertained. Take a new look at the many activities Three Rivers District Council has on offer this year and you could soon have 2011 wrapped up with things to do, whether you’re 7 or 77.
Safe Scenes...

...not just for teens, there’s plenty of action for children too!
Ramp up 2011 with some high speed action at one of our skate parks.
Want to play football, badminton, tennis, take up coaching or maybe you’re already thinking about volunteering for the 2012 Olympics? You need our one-stop-sports-shop at Three Rivers Sports Network which will do more than point you in the right direction, it will inspire you to take up some new sports too.

Active Adults...
You don’t need a gym membership to be an active adult in Three Rivers.
Outdoor gyms are free to use so it’s the kind of pound you’ll want to lose!
And if you’re looking after the pennies, don’t forget Swimming Offers is diving into a pool near you if you’re over 60 years.
Mums of Steel
will have new mums back in shape in no time, and with the added bonus that baby has to come too!
All abilities are welcome at our Back2Netball sessions for girls and ladies over 16 years of age.
Romance, glamour, charm and a cup of tea! Well, we can’t promise the romance, but there are friendships to be made and plenty of charming steps to be taken at our regular afternoon tea dances in Chorleywood, which are topped off with free tea and biscuits!
If that’s too sedate or you prefer team work to fancy footwork, it’s worth adults visiting the Three Rivers Sports Network too. There’s a comprehensive list of sports clubs, activities and regular blogs.
Play Places
Camp fires, tree climbing and rope swings are just a few of the activities our award winning Play Rangers have to keep children occupied after school. And Play Rangers children are also shaping the future of outdoor play when they chose new equipment for South Oxhey, Leavesden and Mill End so they’re not just having fun, they’re leaving a legacy too!

New mates will become best play dates at our action packed days of Playschemes. Arts and crafts, games, discovery and adventure will have children raring to go this Easter and summer holidays.
