A walk in the park

walkingA recent study conducted by Graduate Student Marc Breman, M.S.E, of the University of Michigan (U.S.A.) Cognitive Psychology department has concluded that individuals who spend time interacting with nature by taking walks through parks, open spaces and wildlife areas boost their short term memory and concentration by 20%. The study, which was recently published in the journal "Psychology Science," showed that just an hour strolling through the countryside increases the brains performance by allowing the brain to "switch off" and restore it's self much in the same way as an hours meditation does.
