Landlords' Forum
Date:
10 August 2012
A Landlords’ Forum will be held at Three Rivers District Council offices in September.
Three Rivers District Council are hosting a Landlords’ Forum with Watford Borough Council at the Council offices in Rickmansworth on 20 September. All private landlords are welcome to attend to get the latest news on the development of Three Rivers District Council’s Social Lettings Agency as well as hearing about the new Benefits IT system for landlords and the support we offer tenants.
There is also an opportunity for landlords to hear the benefits of joining the Council’s Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme which Three Rivers District Council have been successfully running for over ten years.
Rachael Goates who manages the Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme said:
“The benefits to landlords are that they receive professional support and housing benefit is paid direct to them. The scheme enables people on low incomes to be successfully housed in the area. With over 200 tenants currently on the scheme there is a constant supply of prospective tenants looking for properties. We currently have more than 170 landlords signed up to this scheme but we are constantly recruiting new landlords.”
The agenda for the evening includes talks on the development of Three Rivers District Council’s Social Lettings Agency and a talk on the new IT system which is going to be installed enabling landlords to access their housing benefit accounts online. The evening will also include advice on the National Landlord’s Association on all areas of property management.
The forum takes place on 20 September 2012, at Three Rivers District Council. The event starts at 6pm with refreshments and then talks from 6.45pm. There is free parking. A variety of officers from both Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council will be available to offer advice and answer any questions.
