This document is designed to explain the background to the housing situation within the District and set out the way that the Council proposes to address the big issues to improve the housing conditions and make housing more affordable. We need to know however whether that vision is shared by the people of the District and the partners who we work with to deliver the vision. We are therefore asking you to take this opportunity to take part in this consultation and tell us your views on what we are proposing. Have we identified the big issues facing housing in the District? Have we got the resources to make it a reality? Are we doing what is needed to deliver the vision?
