Watersmeet has two fully air-conditioned rooms available for hire.  With a unique floor in the main auditorium it can transform from a fully raked theatre style event to a flat floor for dinner dances, cabarets and weddings. 

The auditorium has a capacity of 515 for theatre productions and large scale conferences and 250 for cabaret style events.

Watersmeet’s Colne Room has a capacity of up to 100.  It provides the perfect space for more intimate events such as Christenings and birthdays, but with the versatility to be easily adapted for business meetings, mother and toddler groups, craft fairs and exhibitions.

Both rooms are licensed to perform weddings  making the venue an extremely popular choice for hosting any size celebration.  The venue also offers a flexible range of dining options at very affordable prices.  Hall hire prices can be downloaded below.

Equipment

Hire of the Auditorium includes use of all lighting and stage equipment, and a basic sound setup (single microphone). Enclosed are our rates for additional sound equipment, including radio microphones, flip chart stands and slide projectors. A Steinway Grand piano is also available for auditorium events with an additional charge.

Box Office
We can provide a full box office service, covering advance and door sales. The Box Office is open to personal callers and telephone bookers from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and on the night of the event, with prior agreement.

Our Box Office service provides customers with the flexibility to pay by cash, cheque, postal order and credit or debit cards. We also provide full accountancy and marketing reports (subject to DPA). On line booking is available at no extra charge. Hirers can also take an allocation of tickets to sell to friends and followers, effectively creating two box offices.

Food & Beverage
The Colne Room includes use of a bar, which will be stocked and staffed by Watersmeet.  A kiosk is available in the upper foyer. This is provided without stock, unless prior arrangements are made.

A food preparation area is also available for visiting caterers. Security deposits are required for use of the catering facilities. There will be an additional charge for hirers bringing in their own alcohol beverages into the venue.

Communal areas
Watersmeet has two reception areas. 

A downstairs foyer for you meet and greet requirements and an upstairs foyer which is ideal for break-out areas, drinks receptions and informal gatherings.

Dressing rooms


Watersmeet has a total of four dressing rooms.  They are all equipped with large mirrors, comfy chairs and hanging space.  The two large dressing rooms are ideal for groups and the two smaller rooms can be used for VIPs and special guests.

Regular hirers of Watersmeet include amateur dramatic societies, dance schools, local and national companies, rotary clubs, professional theatre producers and many individuals looking for the perfect venue for their special event.

Michael Hammond of Watford Rotary Club hired Watersmeet for a Big Band Concert. He said:
