Have your say on the future of Leavesden Country Park

Date:  03 July 2007

Earlier this week, Three Rivers District Council invited residents to have their say on the future of Leavesden Country Park, in a public consultation designed to help the District Council develop a Management Plan for the site.

The Management Plan, due to be implemented in the autumn, will focus on improving the maintenance of the site and will prioritise capital improvements.

Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Councillor Martin Trevett, said:

"This consultation is a great way for residents to get involved in the management of their local park and I would encourage anybody who uses Leavesden Country Park to come along and have their say".

All local residents are invited to attend the consultation at Woodlands YMCA between July 3 and July 31, where there will be a Leavesden Country Park display, including an 'Opinion Meter' where residents can complete an electronic questionnaire or make further comments in writing.

Woodlands YMCA will be open between 7.00am and 10.00pm Mondays to Thursdays, 7.00am to 9.00pm on Fridays and 9.00am to 5.00pm at the weekends.
