Future plans for Three Rivers

Date:  02 February 2012

Following adoption of its Core Strategy last October, Three Rivers District Council will be carrying out public consultation on two other key parts of the Local Development Framework for the area.

The Site Allocations document sets out proposed sites to meet development needs in respect of housing, employment, education, shopping, leisure and open space. It also proposes minor changes to the green belt boundary.

Have your say on the sites put forward for housing, education, employment: Site Allocations DPD Consultation...

Have your say on the policies that will be applied to planning applications: Development Management Policies DPD Consultation ...

Have your say on the plans for Langelybury/The Grove:
Langleybury and The Grove Development Brief ...

The consultation runs from the 23 January 2012 for six weeks until the 5 March 2012.

Printed documents can be viewed at the Council Offices and all libraries in the district. We have also arranged a series of consultation events throughout February across the district. Details are available here...

Commenting on the plans, the Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Councillor Martin Trevett, said:

"Following the recent adoption of the Core Strategy, which sets out the broad strategy for the planning of the area, we are now able to put more flesh on the bone in terms of delivery through detailed site proposals and policies.

"The plans build on previous consultation and support the Council’s vision for the district to remain a prosperous, safe and healthy place where people want and are able to live and work. I would urge people to respond to these important documents, by the 5 March deadline."
