Four pantomimes and a wedding!
Date:
21 December 2011
Wedding bells rang out for two actors who met and found love at Watersmeet in Rickmansworth this year.
Jonathan Eio and Louise Travis met at the venue when they both appeared in the Christmas pantomime Aladdin in 2008. Two more pantomimes followed for the couple and last year Jonathan proposed during the run of Jack and the Beanstalk at The Spa Theatre, Bridlington.
A summer wedding took place for the creative couple who have returned to Watersmeet this December for their first Christmas as husband and wife. Louise has directed the fairytale production and is waving the wand of magic and good will as Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother.
Louise said: “I am so thrilled to be back in pantomime at Watersmeet. It's such a special place for me as I met my very own Prince Charming there! Well, Jonathan was playing Aladdin really but he is my real life Prince Charming. This theatre always has such a lovely atmosphere and to be back in one of my favourite romantic pantomimes will make our Christmas together even more magical.”
Jonathan is appearing in Cinderella as Dandini, the aide to Prince Charming, who will be played by G4’s Jonathan Ansell. The production also sees the return of another Rickmansworth favourite, illusionist Michael Otton who joins the production as everyone’s favourite friend Buttons.
Cinderella runs from 7 to 31 December 2011. Tickets are available from the Watersmeet Box Office on 01923 711063 or online at www.watersmeet.co.uk.
