Financial Plan 2012-2022
DOWNLOADThe Financial Plan provides a brief guide to the Council's finances and gives information for a period of ten years commencing 2012/2013. It is also an attempt to put into plain English how the local government finance system affects the Council.
The purpose of the plan is:
- To maintain clear and accurate information accessible to staff and members for effective financial planning, monitoring and reporting in both the short and long term.
- To comply with Government guidelines and accounting standards and practices.
- To provide finance for defined service levels.
- To devolve accountability for budgets to specified cost centre managers.
- To optimise the use of Council assets in land, property and money.
