Woodland Management Plan
Three Rivers obtained The UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS) accreditation in 2007, in recognition of the work that it does to manage its woodlands in accordance with good practice.
Five years on we are now reviewing the management of our woodlands and reviewing our management plans. It is a requirement of UKWAS that we consult local people and relevant organisations to make them aware that we are producing these new plans and that we are being re-evaluated for certification.

Chorleywood Play Area Consultation
Three Rivers District Council is currently consulting on the proposed play space for Chorleywood, in particular focused on location and types of equipment.

The designs are also located at Chorleywood Library from Monday 13 August – Friday 28 September should you wish to view them and complete the survey at the library on the touch screen consultation device.
Site Allocations Preferred Options Additional Sites Consultation
The Site Allocations document will identify sites throughout the District for development up to 2026 to support the delivery of the Core Strategy that was adopted by the Council in October 2011. The document will set out the sites that the Council considers have the potential to meet needs for a range of uses including housing, employment, education, shopping, leisure and open spaces.

Development Management Policies Local Development Document Proposed Submission Consultation 23 July – 3 September 2012.
The Development Management Policies Local Development Document (LDD) sets out the criteria against which all planning applications in the District will be considered. The Council considers that these policies will enable the long term vision for Three Rivers set out in the Core Strategy that was adopted by the Council on 17 October 2011.
This Proposed Submission version of the Development Management Policies LDD, based on consultation and evidence, is considered to be ‘sound’ by the Council. We are therefore specifically asking whether you think the document is ‘legal’ and ‘sound’ under the terms of the Planning Regulations. There is now a formal period for submitting responses. Representations must be received by 5pm Monday 3 September 2012.
