Place survey

At the end of September 2008, around 40,000 questionnaires were posted to Hertfordshire residents, as part of the national Place survey. The survey has been designed by central government in order to capture local people’s views, experiences and perceptions of their local area and local public services.

The results of the survey are used by inspectorates as evidence for both the area and organisational assessments for Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA). The survey includes questions which provide data for 18 National Indicators (NIs), three of which have Local Area Agreement (LAA) targets (NIs 1, 4 and 17).

The Place survey results for Three Rivers are presented in the following report.

Consultation with Black and Minority Ethnic Communities 2008-09

In June 2008 we held three focus groups, facilitated by Opinion Research
Services, with Black and Minority Ethnic residents of Three Rivers to identify their priorities for the local area.

We asked the participants to tell us the key issues Three Rivers District Council should focus on, along with its partner agencies, such as Hertfordshire County Council, Parish Councils, Hertfordshire Constabulary, Thrive Homes, the local NHS and voluntary and community groups.

We created a newsletter, which you can download below, which details the key findings of the focus groups and also what we are doing as a result of the feedback we received.
