Community grant awarded

9 Lives Furniture, Rickmansworth has received an £800 grant from Three Rivers District Council to help purchase a new storage area for large items donated by members of the public.


9 Lives Furniture provides high-quality, low-cost second hand furniture to people living in Watford, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas.


Marie Frost, Manager of Nine Lives, said

‘This grant has helped fund a storage container we are buying. This will enable us to collect more furniture, which was heading for land fill.

Because of the limited space, we have at times had to refuse furniture, which can be frustrating to us and our customers! The storage unit will allow us to store any surplus and give our customers more choice. Right now we are just looking forward to the delivery’
